Shaft Repair and Servicing

Boat owner detected a vibration after noticing no water flow to gland. Well spotted by the owner. 

Unfortunately the centre shaft bearing had melted and broken up which was causing the vibration as the 4 meter shaft had no centre support. 

We removed rudder and shaft and bits of the old bearing was still in the shaft tube. Hose pipe down the tube and a gutter brush to clean out the tube. Fit new centre bearing and rear Cutless bearing and put back together.
