Offsite Work at Gulf Harbour

Boat has been stood for some time and after a meeting with the owner he wants to bring it back to life. We brought Karl our crane truck up to gulf harbour to remove the genset as it had low compression. Having the crane truck was very handy for us as we could take the genset away straight back to the workshop to get it repaired and leave two guys on the job to carry out the rest of the work. 

We had to replace all skin fittings & ball valves with Tru design plastic fittings as the current fittings were corroded.

We also replaced the cutlass bearings with shafts in place as these were also old and worn out. We were able to take the bearings out fairly easily as we have a special tool to push them out saving the owner at least 2 days labour. We used the same tool to push in the new bearings.
