Shaft Bearings Flogged Out

The owner reported a vibration when underway, and when the boat was hauled out we could see and feel the play in both the intermediate and strut bearings. The propellers had to be removed to pull the shafts as the rudders were in the way, once we had them all apart and the shafts pulled we sent both the propellers and shafts away to be checked for damage and any repairs that needed to be made. We pulled the bearings and could see the visible wear where the shaft had been rubbing unevenly and causing the vibration. After fitting 4 new bearings and getting the shafts back from repair, we could reinstall the shafts, propellers and fit new gland seals.
